ABOUT US
R&K Classical Ballet Academy (formerly known as Dmitri Kulev Classical Ballet Academy) was established in 2006 by Dmitri and Jennifer Kulev, former principal dancers with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. RKCBA was founded on the Russian classical training system known as the Vaganova Method.

In 2024, Alina Krasovskaya and Alexander Romanchikov assumed ownership and leadership of the academy, continuing its tradition of providing high-quality instruction and upholding the highest standards of Russian ballet. This dedication is reflected in the many international and national awards, company contracts, and college acceptances RKCBA students have earned.

We currently offer training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and character technique. We are also home to the Orange County Ballet Theater (OCBT), which offers students performance opportunities throughout Orange County. Furthermore, RKCBA students have the opportunity to train with WESTSIDE DANCE PROJECT, a pre-professional contemporary company based at RKCBA and directed by Cory Barnette & Troy Herring.
